Biography
Nabil Imam received his Ph.D. in electrical engineering and neuroscience from Cornell University, where he was advised by Rajit Manohar and Barbara Finlay. Subsequently, he worked at IBM Research and Intel Labs at the intersection of neuroscience and AI. Computer systems he built during that time have been featured in various technology outlets including Science, Nature, MIT Tech Review, Scientific American, and the New York Times. At Georgia Tech, his lab uses tools from probability theory and control systems to model biological computation. He is also interested in process algebras and their applications to asynchronous circuits and systems.
